Active alumni are involved in many ways, from participating as board leaders and active donors, to working on campus and at Camp Getschow. The Alumni Association also plans many activities with Glenwood students such as pizza nights, movie outings and baseball games. The Association also publishes “The ALUMinator", a semi-annual newsletter sent to more than 800 alumni across the country.

GSAA ALUMNI
We are the former students of Glenwood School for Boys and Girls in Glenwood, Illinois founded in February of 1887. One need not have graduated High School at Glenwood to be an alumnus, just having attended Glenwood is all that is required. You will also note that staff and past staff are also members. It is the purpose of our Association to facilitate the exchange of alumni information, to promote alumni fraternalism, and to so conduct Association programs and activities as to advance the pleasures of life, comfort and welfare of the current students of Glenwood School for Boys and Girls.

114th Flag Day Celebration: Glenwood South Campus will hold its Flag Day Celebration on Saturday, June 5, 2010, followed by our General meeting. We would like all alumni to attend this event. This is the perfect event to show the students and parents what we are all about.
We also use this time to raise funds and accept dues in person. If there are any members that would like to help run our fund-raising efforts at this event please contact a board member before or during the Flag Day Ceremony.

GSAA
We presently have three events each year that promote alumni camaraderie. Flag Day is our traditional time to come together. At this event we have our regular June meeting and provide a cookout for student and alumni families.
Our annual Pre-Camp work weekend provides us a time to work side by side preparing Glenwood’s Camp Getschow for the arrival of the Glenwood campers from both campuses.
The annual Golf Outing is always followed by a dinner where alumni and their families can again all get together for fellowship.
