2007 Golf Outing

The Golf Outing and Dinner for 2007 held at Glenwoodie and Glenwood School on August 11^th was a success. Although there were no winners for the Hole-in-One Challenges, we still came out successful in achieving our goal as a fundraiser.

Golf Outing Event

The golf outing was held on Saturday, August 11 at Glenwoodie Golf Course in Glenwood, Illinois. We had 29 golfers participate for trophies and a chance to win one of several ‘Hole-in-One’ challenges at each of the par 3 holes. A hole in one on the par 3 14th hole was worth $25,000 cash. A catered dinner was held afterward in the Irwin Center (formerly Butler Hall). There were 50 people in attendance for a dinner provided by Fresh Starts Restaurant of Flossmoor. It is always a good time to catch up with old friends and enjoy a nice dinner.

Our winners this year were Steve Montoya and Max Gill. Second Place went to perennial contenders and former champions Eric Yarbrough and Vanessa Sims. Vanessa also was the long drive champion with the closest to the pin trophy going to Gus Scott. We raised over $3000 this year. We thank everyone that came out and we trust you enjoyed the event.

In addition to the golfers the following were also present at dinner: Richard and Suzanne Batterham, Ray Borgia, Elizabeth McKay, Joe Hack, Felten Marshall, Tom O'Brien, Bonnie Chrastka, Burt Amos, Lori Olson, Mary Toth, Kevin Riley, Bob and Annette Swoger, Chris Hernandez, Gail Hernandez and Mike Stephensen.

Hole Sponsors this year were: The Tender Trap, Hack's Diversified Services, Blanche Hill/Suburban Bank & Trust, Chaz Rupright/CM Rupright, John Lackos, Glenwood School, Cam Golf and Olympic Maintenance.
