On Wednesday evening, September 19, I had the pleasure of attending the NCO installation ceremony at the Rathje Campus. This was the first time I visited there while students were present. Along with me, Joe Hack and Pat Kyle were also in attendance. At the ceremony, we presented the Rathje campus students with their new school flag. It is the first school flag that campus has ever had. So, through the efforts of our Alumni Association, we have now given both campuses new flags to be carried by the Color Guard.
After the ceremony we were invited to have dinner with the students. It was an extra special night because they had parents bringing in each of the kid's favorite dish from home and shared with everyone else. It was like a big potluck. We had a really great time and the kids seemed to be enjoying us as well. They had a lot of questions about what Glenwood was like when we attended years ago. We were happy to pass on stories from our days at Glenwood to them. It was a great evening and I'm glad I was able to share in it.
